Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action
Active ingredient: Levonorgestrel 0,1 mg, Ethinylestradiol 0,02 mg
Evaluna acts through the interplay of Levonorgestrel and Ethinylestradiol:
Depression of ovulation: The hormones inhibit the release of the gonadotropins FSH and LH from the brain attachment gland, which does not cause ovulation.
Zervixschleim thickening: The gestagen Levonorgestrel makes the mucilage more viscous and impermeable to sperm.
**Endometrium Change:* * The cervical mucosa is constructed less strongly, which would make it difficult to insert an egg.
The effect is guaranteed only with daily intake.
Who is it suitable for?
Evaluna is particularly suitable for:
- women seeking a well-tolerated prevention with low risk of thrombosis
- First users of the pill
- Women who are sensitive to higher estrogen doses
- Women without increased risk of thrombosis
